Color Outside of the Lines When Creating Web Content

Color like a childThis is my way of saying, “Think outside of the box,” which I think is trite and overused.

We should all give ourselves permission to color outside of the lines. Don’t do what everyone else is doing. Allow yourself to be different.

Kids these days want to wear the same clothes as everyone else. Peer pressure is intense. But why be like everyone else?

With your Web sites, don’t you want to stand out among your competition? Don’t you want to be . . . different? The one that everyone remembers?

Color outside of the lines. Not everyone picks the red color from the color box. Don’t be afraid to be different.

Be willing to take a chance. Think like a winner.

Walt Disney said, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”

In Walt Disney’s world, “Yes, if . . . ” was the language of a winner, and “No, because” was the language of an idea killer. Think about the two rooms I mentioned in the Introduction to this blog. We can do this project if . . ., rather than no, we can’t do this project because . . .

What a different those words make.

Let me repeat: Think like a winner, and don’t be afraid to color outside of the lines.

Read back through the Introduction posts to this blog, if you haven’t already read them. This will help you understand the basics for using creativity to help create content and link popularity. It will also introduce two creativity pioneers.

Tomorrow is our first brainstorming session. This is when the fun begins! See you then!

Robin

Robin, Thanks for starting this very informative blog. It’s been so many years since I’ve been in school, I can’t remember what I forgot or never learned about Grammar! Perhaps now with your help, I will have a second chance.

Thanks so much, Kristal. It’s been years since I’ve been in school too, so I had to hit the books in a major way to write that article. It was a great review for me!

I’m glad it helped. (I’m always here to help.)

Robin
