Veggies are fattening?

Listen to this interesting historical information from The Practical Home Physician dated 1892.

“While plants contain a large amount of material which cannot be digested and are hence worthless as food, yet because of the starch and sugar which they contain, vegetables are fattening food. This was well understood by Mr. Banting, who devised the famous method which bears his name, for reducing the flesh.”

Just think what you could do with this information on a weight loss site. “Weight loss through the ages” — a history of all of the various types of weight loss programs. It would be fascinating.

Or, use it as a “Did you know” boxed off area on your site, like a quote. Compile several of these interesting tidbits of information and spread them throughout your site.

Get creative, and have fun!
